Privacy policy

RankRivals is a mobile app operated by Glenoak Ventures LLC (“we,” “us” or “our”), an Illinois limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect when you use RankRivals, how we use it and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Email address. Used to create and sign in to your account.
• User ID. A unique identifier we assign to your account so your rankings, scores and settings stay connected to you.
• Device ID. A device or push notification token that lets us send alerts you’ve turned on to your device.
• Your rankings and in-app content. The rankings, picks and other content you create in the app, which we use to score your rankings and show results to you and your rivals.
• Purchase history. If you subscribe, Apple tells us which subscription you have and whether it is active. Payments are processed entirely by Apple; we never receive your card number or other payment details.
• Customer support messages. If you contact us, we keep your message and our reply so we can help you.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, health information or browsing history, and we do not use advertising identifiers.

How we use your information

We use this information only to run RankRivals: to provide your account, score and display your rankings, send notifications you’ve enabled, manage subscriptions, answer support requests, keep the app secure and fix problems.

What we don’t do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the app, such as our database and authentication provider, push notification services and Apple for subscriptions and app distribution. These providers may use your information only to provide their services to us. Your display name and ranking scores may be visible to other users you compete against.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.

Sports data

RankRivals uses publicly available NFL statistics, odds and weather data from third-party providers to score rankings and power alerts. This data is about games and players, not about you.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app’s settings or by emailing support@rankrivals.app. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except for anything we’re required to keep by law. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account, and canceling a subscription must be done through your Apple account settings.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Children

RankRivals is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and let you know in the app.
